IN LOVING MEMORY OF JOYCE BLANTON
January 19, 1996
We shared two things in common,
Cancer and our Lord and Savior,
I praise God for my illness,
For without it, I could not have known her.
Over the last several months,
We've shared prayers and a few fears,
No matter what we were going through,
For each other we'd shed tears.
Throughout all of our visits,
You would always share your smile.
You would always lift me up
So that I could go the next mile.
You taught me many things
As we shared our "war" stories.
But one thing stands out above all else,
No matter what - give God the glory.
Joyce, you may have lost the battle,
But you have won the war.
For you are on the Lord's side,
Where there is suffering no more.
You helped me through a lot,
Thanks for being my friend.
I love you and I'll miss you ----
Until we meet again.
Your friend and sister in Christ
